It has been a long weekend for the three of us. A very messy house but a fussy baby that hasn't allowed us to get much done. Thank you growth spurt!!!



Daddy tries to get some housecleaning done by carrying the little man around.

We have realized how active Grant is. He is awake most of the day, taking only a few naps. He likes to be walked around and talked to, and loves to smile and talk. He went 7 hours between feedings last night and slept most of that. We were thrilled to get the sleep.

After eating six ounces, a large poop, and warm bath... he is finally out.

Grant is growing so fast

Such a big boy sitting up in his Bumbo chair.

Grant will be two months old next Tuesday. That is so incredible. It is so fun to watch him grow and change everyday. He is now beginning to smile and talk much more. He is becoming more aware of his surroundings and will pay attention to you when you talk to him. We spend hours each day sitting on the couch talking and watching him smile and respond with an adorable "ooohhh!"
We are attempting to break the habit of Grant not being able to sleep unless he is held. It has been very challenging. We have been working on fixing this the past few days which has created a very tired mom and dad and extremely grumpy baby. He gets very upset when he is put down and we walk away but we found that if he lays next to us on the couch where he can still see us that he will fall asleep and stay asleep. I guess this will take baby steps.
